Happy New Year! This year the Banana Longboarding crew have wished us all into 2016 with this sweet edit, featuring Philip & Jakob riding the Comet Farmer / Rayne G-Mack along with Rad Advantages and some Cult Raptures.
They hit one super long and fun run, taking the inside line whilst doing so, and have some pretty close shaves with the guardrail. They have both chosen some very soft wheels (77-78a) to surf the sketchy pavement; in this case, some 77a Cult Raptures and 78a Rad Advantages.
Cult Rapture longboard wheels come in with a diameter of 74mm, 66mm contact patch, feature a large core and have an offset bearing seat. The large core allows you to pick up speed quicker, whilst maintaining a high top speed, and the wide width means maximum grip whilst hitting a corner.
RAD Advantage 78a
The 74mm Advantage gives you all the edge you need to control your direction and speed. With a 58mm contact patch, supported flexible lips, these wheels allow maximum grip on the pavement without compromising mobility or speed.
The Rad Advantage longboard wheels are again 74mm tall, but have a narrower contact patch of 58mm; this means getting sideways is a lot easier, and you can push out pre-drifts to get the inside line in your local run.
