Alternative Crew representing at KnK Longboard Camp 2018
KnK Longboard Camp 2018 marked a special edition for Alternative as their DH team gathered on the Bear’s Guts for both weeks and at the end snatched 1st and 3rd place at the Red Bull No Paws Down Race.
Although Alternative is a proud supporter of KnK for numerous years now, the 2018 edition of the event marked a very special one for them. This year their complete freeride/downhill crew gathered on the Bear’s Guts for the first time, along with the newest addition to the squad, Patrick L. Lombardi.
1000 Euros and unlimited glory to the winner of the Red Bull No Paws Down
Moreover, the guys didn’t just come to KnK to chill and enjoy numerous runs, but also to put their skills to the test at the Red Bull No Paws Down Race. At the end, the podium was buzzing with Alternative as Patrick L. Lombardi snatched up 1st place and once again becoming the RBNPD World Champion. He was accompanied by Ian Izquierdo, the Spanish pocket rocket, that took home the bronze.
In the latest edit from Alternative we can observe Robbert van Haaften, Kacper Tarchala, Patrick L. Lombardi, Ian Izquierdo and Lillian Barou performing controlled slides and passes down the Bear’s Guts at full speed. Here’s what Robbert had to say:
The good vibes, worldwide scene coming together and of course the roller coaster-like feel of going down the Bear’s guts. In my opinion it’s like a extreme multi-player video game with all your homies, SO MUCH FUN!
The whole crew took the time off to skate both weeks of KnK, that’s why this edit filmed by Mirko Paoloni and Misha Miros and edited by Robbert features shots from numerous days of intense freeride action, resulting in a video one just can’t miss.
Kacper, Patrick and Robbert hyped before their run together.
The team’s favourite at KnK was the Fantail skated by Lillian, Robbert and Ian, Kacper grabbed his Starling and Patrick’s quiver killer was a slightly modified Wrobel.
News on the street is that Alternative is already preparing their new 2019 line-up with an addition of two new pro model decks. So far we saw a sneak peek of Patrick’s pro model prototype on his Instagram account before he left for Killington in the US; check it out right here.
